Barclay Damon Lands Insurance Litigator Jacqueline Doody

Barclay Damon announces Jacqueline Doody, partner, has joined Barclay Damon’s Torts & Products Liability Defense, Professional Liability, and Mass & Toxic Torts Practice Areas. Her primary office location is New York City.

Doody focuses her practice on the defense of large-loss and commercial claims. She assists clients in all phases of litigation across New York State courts, including federal district courts and courts of appeal. While Doody’s litigation experience is broad, she has experience litigating insurance cases involving motor-vehicle accidents, aviation, general liability, and the defense of product liability and labor and employment liability claims. Additionally, Doody regularly handles arbitrations and mediations. She also advises clients on pre-litigation evaluation and strategy.

Prior to joining Barclay Damon, Doody was an attorney with a firm in Lake Success, New York, that focuses on representing a large, national insurance company and its insureds in a wide variety of litigation matters.

Doody said, “I’m thrilled to be joining a firm with such an accomplished bench of attorneys. I’m looking forward to how I can apply my litigation experience to client matters and contribute to the firm’s overall success.”

Tom Cronmiller, Torts & Insurance Practice Group leader, said, “Jacqueline’s extensive experience with litigating a wide variety of insurance claims is a significant accomplishment for our firm. Our clients will not only benefit from her legal prowess in trials but also in arbitrations and mediations. I’m confident she’ll be a valued leader and mentor to our bench of younger attorneys.”

Lizz Acee, partner and managing director of the firm’s major market offices in Boston, New Haven, and New York City, said, “The addition of Jacqueline is a testament that our ongoing efforts to recruit diverse talent and expand our bench in major market cities are working. In the last year alone, Barclay Damon has hired 11 attorneys in its New York City office, nearly all of whom are diverse.”

Barclay Damon attorneys team across offices and practices to provide customized, targeted solutions grounded in industry knowledge and a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses. With nearly 300 attorneys, Barclay Damon is a leading law firm that operates from a strategic platform of offices located in the Northeastern United States and Toronto.
