Hiscock & Barclay Attorney Sheila Gaddis Appointed to Grievance Committee
Hiscock and Barclay, LLP Partner Sheila A. Gaddis has been appointed to the Grievance Committee of the Seventh Judicial District of New York State. The Committee examines disciplinary action within an eight country area. Gaddis, a Brighton resident and a partner in the Firm’s Rochester office, will be a committee member for a three year term, which commenced on April 1.
A graduate of Seton Hall University College of Law, Gaddis focuses her practice on Healthcare and Human services including nonprofit law and administration. Gaddis also fulfills the role of Diversity Partner of the Firm, by acting as Chair of the Diversity Partner Committee. This Committee advises the Firm on issues related to the attraction and retention of individuals with diverse backgrounds. She has received many accolades for her legal work; most recently receiving the Nathaniel Award from the Daily Record, which is given annually to a person or organization within the legal community who “goes above and beyond the call of duty in the name of justice, in addition to the outstanding achievements within their practice.”
