Biography

Dan practices real property litigation with a focus on tax certiorari and eminent domain matters. He has experience representing both private property owners and municipal entities in real property tax litigation to resolution. He has also represented numerous condemnors and condemnees in all stages of eminent domain proceedings from the conception of the project to acquisition and just compensation.

Dan has experience in other areas of civil litigation, including representing defendants in general negligence, professional liability, and commercial liability litigation. He has successfully obtained summary judgment decisions and jury verdicts in favor of his clients.

Representative Experience

  • Represented various developers, renewable and nonrenewable energy companies, and other private property owners in tax certiorari litigation resulting in settlement and the reduction of their real property tax assessments.
  • Represented municipalities in defending tax certiorari appeals to resolution.
  • Defended industrial private property owners in all stages of eminent domain proceedings.
  • Represented municipalities, industrial development agencies, and private utilities in eminent domain proceedings from the conception of the project to acquisition and just compensation.
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment decisions in favor of defendants in various negligence cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and dog bite incidents.
  • Successfully obtained jury verdicts in favor of defendants in personal injury litigation.
  • Represented multiple wind energy developers and operators in large-scale nuisance litigation to resolution.
