With an eye on client strategy and success, Kat is dedicated to helping clients navigate issues at the intersection of technology and intellectual property. She works closely with clients to develop, protect, and commercialize their IP assets in the marketplace. Her practice focuses on advising clients through domestic and global brand management and copyright issues, including identifying, clearing, and securing intellectual property assets; counseling; enforcement; dispute resolution (including Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and UDRP proceedings); and licensing. She also helps clients develop and implement a global brand strategy for the continued protection and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. Kat also advises clients on international, federal, and state data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Processing Regulation (GDPR).
Kat also helps clients with drafting and negotiating agreements and transactions that relate to intellectual property, technology, and privacy, such as coexistence agreements, licenses, services agreements, data privacy agreements, terms of use agreements, and other commercial agreements and internal company resources for data privacy compliance and best practices.
