Biography

Amanda primarily handles civil litigation matters involving premises and professional liability. She defends individuals and business owners against claims of negligence ranging from trip and falls to more complex actions, working on matters from the early stages of discovery through appeals. Amanda also assists with matters involving toxic torts, representing clients in depositions, court conferences, and defense meetings.

She routinely represents clients at depositions; conducts legal research on a variety of issues; drafts pleadings, discovery responses, briefs, and motions as well as supporting memoranda; and assists in preparing matters for trial.

Representative Experience

  • Negotiated settlements for property owners in cases involving various premises-liability matters, including ceiling collapses and trip and falls.
  • Obtained a dismissal of a complaint alleging a subcontractor owed a duty to maintain the subject premises.
  • Obtained favorable verdicts in bench trials involving a storage facility's enforcement of liens against a stored property.
