Hiscock & Barclay Grows New York Office With Addition Of Todd Lamb and Anthony Portera From Cozen O'Connor

Anthony N. Portera and Todd V. Lamb, two attorneys with extensive backgrounds in real estate transactions, financings, development and real estate-related litigation, have joined Hiscock & Barclay, LLP as partners in the New York office.

Portera and Lamb were most recently Members at Cozen O'Connor – Portera in the real estate group and Lamb in the commercial litigation group. They also worked together previously at Fischbein Badillo Wagner Harding LLP.

Lamb specializes in real estate litigation and landlord-tenant disputes. He represents developers as well as commercial and residential landlords and tenants in litigations before trial and appellate courts as well as in administrative proceedings. Mr. Lamb's experience includes trials, appeals, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, administrative proceedings, Article 78 proceedings and all aspects of settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution. In addition, Lamb currently sits as an arbitrator in the Manhattan Small Claims Court.

Portera represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and development of a broad range of real property. He has particular experience representing clients in connection with the sale and acquisition of gasoline service stations, including transfers of underground storage tanks and products lines. He also represents clients in connection with traditional office and store leases from both the tenant's and landlord's perspective, and has experience in conducting due diligence on commercial properties, residential apartment buildings and shopping centers.

Hiscock & Barclay's Managing Partner, John Langan, said: "Real estate is part of the lifeblood of New York and as we continue to grow our New York City office, Todd Lamb and Tony Portera will play an important role in that growth – representing clients who are truly part of the city's fabric. Their long track records in real estate and real estate related litigation will be tremendous assets."

Portera and Lamb said they were attracted to Hiscock & Barclay by its entrepreneurial atmosphere and the supportive approach it takes toward attorneys serving their clients and building their practices. They also pointed to the fact that, as a 210-lawyer firm, it is large and diverse enough to meet the needs of any clients, while at the same time maintaining the kind of service orientation that is customary in smaller firms.

Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, listed as a "Top 250 Firm" by The National Law Journal, is a full-service, 210-attorney law firm, with offices throughout the major cities of New York State, as well as in Boston, Washington, D.C. and Toronto, providing comprehensive legal and business counsel to a diverse client base in 29 practice areas.
