Rochester, New York - June 18, 2014 - Thomas M. Van Strydonck, former New York Supreme Court Justice and Chief Administrative Judge for the Seventh Judicial District, has joined Hiscock & Barclay as Of Counsel in the firm's Rochester office.
Van Strydonck is joining the firm's Torts & Products Liability Defense Practice Area.

Van Strydonck became a state Supreme Court Judge in 1998 and was appointed administrative judge in 2000.
Van Strydonck practiced for almost two decades with a Rochester law firm where he served as managing partner for seven years before joining the bench. Prior to that he was a prosecutor in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office and served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to having been a judge and attorney in private practice, Van Strydonck served as president of several organizations, including the Monroe County Bar Association, Volunteer Legal Services, Adam Walsh Child Resource Center and the Monroe County Bar Foundation. He served as a board member of the Veteran's Outreach Center and was a lecturer at the Rape Crisis Center and at Monroe County College.
