Federal Court Practice: A Seminar On Dispositive Motions

Hiscock & Barclay partner Edward G. "Buster" Melvin, II, will facilitate this CLE while Hiscock & Barclay associate Karen S. Southwick will be one of the presenters. This three-hour CLE will build upon previous sessions in the Federal Litigation series, giving practitioners practical advice from the Court's perspective about how to successfully brief dispositive motions.Topics will include legal writing tips for practitioners, rules and procedures applicable to motions generally, the pros and cons of consenting to a magistrate judge, motions for summary judgment, and motions to dismiss.
