The sequel follows Jalen DeLuca, a travel baseball player with a genius ability to analyze and predict almost exactly what any pitcher is going to do with his next pitch. His unique talent helps him to save the career of New York Yankee star baseman, James "JY" Yager, who fights to make it on his own after a power struggle with the Yankees GM and failed negotiation leave him trying to carve out a new spot on the Rockton Rockets. After JY works out a deal, the two must team up under mounting pressure to pull off the ultimate double play in order for JY to succeed at the Green Monster and for Jalen to beat his old team in the championship game of an elite Boston tournament.

Langan, Barclay Damon's managing partner, said, "It's outstanding to see Tim's work ethic and incredible talents recognized outside of the firm as a New York Times-bestselling author reaching the lives of children across the nation. His collaboration with Derek Jeter is truly impressive, as is his enthusiasm for promoting the lifelong benefits of active literacy to young people by using his own time, resources, and skills to support that mission."

With over 1,500 school visits under his belt addressing almost 500,000 children, Tim makes sure to emphasize the importance of reading in school success and character-building, telling students that reading is "weightlifting for your brain." Since he began his career writing for kids in 2007, Tim's young-reader series has sold over 1 million copies. All of Tim's speaking fees are used to buy books for underprivileged kids, libraries, and schools.

Tim's 38th book, The Big Game, will be published in October 2018.
