Tim Green Releases 36th Book, Touchdown Kid, Available Now

October 10, 2017"”Timothy J. Green, a New York Times-bestselling author, former NFL defensive end, former Fox Sports broadcaster, and attorney with Barclay Damon LLP, has authored the young-adult novel Touchdown Kid, available in stores and online now.

Touchdown Kid is about Cory, a kid from a rough neighborhood who loves football. After receiving a football scholarship to an elite private school, Cory excels and earns the nickname Touchdown Kid. Will Corey be able to fight to maintain his Touchdown Kid status, or will he be seen as just a scholarship kid from the wrong side of town? In this action-packed, heartfelt story, Tim explores the opportunities football can provide and the benefits of having a "football family" for a kid who has the skills to compete.

In addition to being a bestselling author and retired defensive end with the Atlanta Falcons, Tim is an attorney with Barclay Damon, where he has been integrally involved for the past 20 years in the development and growth of the firm's client base, particularly in energy, intellectual property, and national insurance coverage litigation. Tim works with other senior leaders of the firm to identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain as clients some of highest-performing companies in the United States in areas of particular strategic focus to the firm.

John P. Langan, Barclay Damon's managing partner, said, "In addition to being uniquely important to the success of our firm, Tim's work as a New York Times-bestselling author is extraordinarily impressive. It's a pleasure to see the good work he does to encourage young people across the country to embrace reading and to explain the many benefits that come from being consistent, lifelong readers. Tim is truly an outstanding person with incredible talents in so many areas."

During his 1,500-plus visits to schools throughout the United States, where he has spoken to nearly half a million students, Tim says reading is "weightlifting for your brain," an essential habit that increases school success and builds character. Since he began writing for kids in 2007, his young-reader series has sold over a million copies. Tim uses all of his speaking fees to buy books for kids, libraries, and schools that could not afford them otherwise.

Next up for Tim: the publication of the second in a trilogy of baseball novels he is co-authoring with baseball legend Derek Jeter. Baseball Genius: Double Play will be released in March 2018. The first book co-authored by the pair, Baseball Genius, was released in March 2017.
