September 25, 2018—Linda Clark, Health Care Controversies Practice Area chair at Barclay Damon, was asked to present at the 2018 National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) Annual Meeting & Educational Conference in Washington DC on September 24.
Clark's presentation was "Managing Payor Relationships." Her presentation covered recent developments and responsive strategies relating to audits and terminations of independent pharmacies by pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). For the presentation, Clark drew on her vast experience and successes in representing independent pharmacies nationwide in all aspects of their relationships with PBMs.
The NASP Annual Meeting is the only comprehensive national specialty pharmacy conference in which all stakeholders can fully participate. It is attended by senior executives, pharmacy directors, staff pharmacists, consultants, and other management-level personnel from specialty pharmacy providers, infusion pharmacies, pharma/biotech manufacturers, institutional pharmacies, managed care organizations, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), distributors, and suppliers to the industry.
Clark's accomplishments include serving as court-appointed defense liaison counsel for three jurisdictions in the Northern District of New York and serving as a hearing officer on the NYS Judicial Conduct Commission. She is the former president of the Capital District Women's Bar Association and received the New York State Bar Association Commercial & Federal Litigation Section's Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin Award for Excellence in the Courtroom in 2017.
