Jason Klimek Joins Barclay Damon

August 23, 2021—Barclay Damon announces Jason Klimek, special counsel, has joined Barclay Damon’s Cannabis Team and Corporate Practice Area. His primary office location is Rochester.

Klimek is the co-leader of the firm’s Cannabis Team. He primarily concentrates his practice on the nuanced processes of structuring, licensing, and maintaining compliant cannabis businesses at the federal, state, and local levels. He has extensive experience advising clients, including cannabis companies, startups, small to midsize technology companies, and medical professionals, on various complex federal and state tax compliance issues affecting cannabis-touching businesses as well as entity selection, funding, intellectual property, employment matters, and securities transactions.

Klimek is a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Cannabis Law. He also serves as the New York State Bar Association Committee on Cannabis Law Tax Section liaison.
