Insurance Litigator Ian Linker Joins Barclay Damon, Strengthening Firm's Torts & Insurance Practice Group

Barclay Damon announces Ian Linker, partner, has joined Barclay Damon’s Insurance Coverage & Regulation and Torts & Products Liability Defense Practice Areas. His primary office location is New York City.

With more than two decades of experience in complex litigation, including insurance coverage disputes and products liability defense, Linker re-joins private practice after years of leading high-stakes litigation at both law firms and in-house at a major insurer.

Before joining Barclay Damon, Linker managed his own law firm, representing clients in a range of transactional and litigation matters. Previously, he was a partner at a full-service law firm in Hackensack, New Jersey, where he defended corporate clients in products liability litigation and insurance coverage disputes governed by ERISA and state law. Linker also served as senior counsel at one of the largest global providers of insurance, annuities, and employee benefits programs for over a decade, leading the company’s appellate practice group and managing litigation strategy across multiple jurisdictions. His extensive experience includes appearing before several US Circuit Courts of Appeals and advising clients on risk mitigation.

Linker said, “I’m looking forward to joining Barclay Damon and leveraging my experience with the firm’s deep bench of talented attorneys and collaborating with my new colleagues to provide excellent service to the firm’s clients. My experience will no doubt help clients navigate challenging legal issues, and I look forward to developing case strategies that result in favorable outcomes. Barclay Damon’s reputation for excellence and its commitment to client service make this an ideal place to continue my practice.”

Tom Cronmiller, leader of Barclay Damon’s Torts & Insurance Practice Group, said, “Ian’s deep knowledge of insurance coverage litigation and products liability defense, combined with his appellate and trial experience, make him a tremendous asset to our team. His background in both private practice and in-house counsel roles gives him a unique perspective that will benefit our clients as they navigate complex litigation matters.”
