Genevieve Halpenny Joins Barclay Damon

December 15, 2020—Barclay Damon announces Genevieve Halpenny, associate, has joined Barclay Damon’s Intellectual Property Litigation and Patents & Prosecution Practice Areas. Her primary office location is Syracuse.

Halpenny, who holds a PhD in chemistry in addition to her JD, advises clients seeking or leveraging patents, providing actionable business and legal advice based on patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement analyses. She works with clients to protect their patent, trademark, and trade secret rights in matters before federal courts, state courts, and the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Halpenny also has experience advising on protecting and monetizing client technologies in licensing agreements and contracts as well as in conducting trademark availability searches and registering trademarks with the USPTO.
