Barclay Damon Named a Founding Member of InvestUSA Toronto

BUFFALO, NY "” November 19, 2015 "” Barclay Damon, LLP has been named a leadership member of the founding board of InvestUSA Toronto, a cross-border initiative of the U.S. Consulate created to promote the United States as a premier destination for Canadian business investment.

U.S. Ambassador to Canada Bruce Heyman introduced InvestUSA Toronto's nine founding leadership members, including Barclay Damon, at a SelectUSA Canada conference on November 17. InvestUSA Toronto is a division of SelectUSA, a federally funded initiative that promotes the United States as a location for foreign business and investment.

Richard J. Day, co-chair of Barclay Damon's International Business Practice Area and liaison for the firm's involvement with InvestUSA Toronto along with Mark C. Smith, said, "My colleagues and I who make up Barclay Damon's Canada-U.S. cross-border team are very excited about this opportunity and the positive contribution our firm can make to InvestUSA Toronto, its members, and the business communities and economies of Canada and the United States. We look forward to using our extensive experience helping Canadian clients establish and expand their business operations in the United States to help further investment throughout New York State and across the country."

In addition to Mr. Day, Barclay Damon's Canada-U.S. cross-border leadership team includes Lauren D. Rachlin, Michael E. Ferdman, Robert P. Heary, Eileen M. Martin, Gust P. Pullman, and Mark C. Smith.

Barclay Damon has offices on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border in Toronto and Buffalo, throughout New York State, and in Washington DC and Boston.
