June 21, 2017 "” Barclay Damon LLP is proud to announce five attorneys have been honored by the Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Association (NDNY-FCBA) for their exceptional pro bono services. Partners Jon P. Devendorf, Gabriel M. Nugent, and Michael J. Sciotti and associates Kayla A. Arias and Ross M. Greenky each received a Pro Bono Service Award for their generous contributions to the community.
Pro Bono Service Awards are given by the NDNY-FCBA to attorneys who take on pro bono trial and mediation cases. The award ceremony, which took place at the Hotel Syracuse, honored attorneys who had taken on such cases throughout 2015 and 2016.
Known for its community outreach, the firm continues to earn accolades for its pro bono efforts. In May 2017, Barclay Damon was awarded a President's Pro Bono Service Award by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and in February 2017, the firm was named an Empire State Counsel Honoree by the NYSBA for exemplary pro bono work performed in 2016. Barclay Damon placed first on Buffalo Law Journal's recent list of firms ranked by the amount of pro bono legal services provided. The firm also recently achieved 100 percent participation in its pro bono program among full-time associate attorneys in each of the firm's 11 offices.
