Law360 covered Barclay Damon’s recently announced leadership changes in “Barclay Damon Starts AI Committee, Taps New Practice Chiefs,” which features quotes from Courtney Merriman, Brad Gallagher, Dan French, and David Burch and references our press release.
About her new role as Financial Services Practice Group leader, Courtney said, “I’m honored to have been asked to step into such an important leadership role at the firm. Overseeing the talented attorneys and non-attorney professionals in our Financial Services group and playing an integral role in decision-making to help the firm remain a top competitor in the market are exciting opportunities.”
Brad, who joins Linda Clark as Health Care Controversies Team co-leader, said, “It’s an honor to co-lead the health care controversies team with Linda Clark, who has been such a great mentor and supporter. Over the past few years, we’ve worked seamlessly to grow a robust, national pharmacy law practice. I’m confident that working together as co-leaders, and with our already-strong bench of attorneys, that the health care controversies team will continue to expand its services and reach in supporting health care industry clients.”
Dan recently returned to full-time practice at Barclay Damon after nearly a decade as Syracuse University’s general counsel. About his new role as co-leader of the Higher Education Team, Dan said, “Taking on this additional leadership role at the firm allows me to expand upon my service to higher education institutions, which continue to face disruption and challenges. I look forward to guiding the attorneys on the firm’s higher education team and providing unparalleled legal service to our clients.”
David serves as the managing director of the firm’s Syracuse office and was recently appointed co-chair of the White Collar & Government Investigations Practice Area. He said, “I am excited to co-chair the white collar and government investigations practice area with Dan French. This new role allows me to bring my experience to bear on the matters being handled within the practice area and to have a voice in its strategic direction. I look forward to working with our practice area members, who pride themselves on ensuring our clients receive the most practical advice as we drive towards efficient and effective resolutions.”
