Patent Paralegal (New Haven)

Barclay Damon LLP, a leading law firm of nearly 300 attorneys that operates from a strategic platform of offices located in Albany, Boston, Buffalo, New Haven, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Washington DC, and Toronto, is seeking a patent paralegal to support multiple attorneys in its Patents & Prosecution Practice Area. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in preparing and filing all formal documents and client correspondence related to domestic and international patent filings, including PCT, and be responsible for all aspects of patent prosecution from initial filing through issuance and maintenance. Candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related office software. A bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, and exposure to docketing software is a plus. While the ideal candidate would be based on New Haven, Connecticut, a remote or hybrid working arrangement from other locations in the United States may be possible.

Salary range: $55,000 to $75,000.

This salary range represents the firm’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for the position and does not include performance- or merit-based bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set, and office location.
