Steve Volkheimer’s practice focuses on both litigation and transactional matters. He has extensive experience representing commercial entities in a wide range of litigated matters as well as representing clients with respect to various types of business transactions. He also routinely represents financial institutions in all phases of their operations, including regulatory compliance matters, creditors' rights/workouts, product development and policy and procedure development. His transactional experience includes the representation of lenders and borrowers in large, complex loan transactions and the representation of business entities in the purchase and sale of company assets. Steve also focuses on matrimonial and family law matters that include divorce, separation, prenuptial agreements, child custody, visitation and support as well as the enforcement of divorce decrees and judgments.

Steve served as lead Special Counsel to the Dormitory Authority of the New York State in connection with its tax-exempt lease program which provides equipment financing to hospitals and educational institutions across the State. Steve also routinely provides support to the firm’s Heath Care & Human Services Practice Area representing health care professionals in all phases of their operations, including regulatory compliance, litigation, and the purchase and sale of professional practices.
