Angela represents individuals and businesses in various types of commercial disputes and litigation including contract disputes, securities claims and fraudulent misrepresentation actions. She also represents municipalities and corporate entities concerning Indian land claims and Indian law matters. As a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Area, Angela has experience with all aspects of litigation from pre-suit case evaluation to motion practice, settlement negotiation, trials and appeals. She is particularly skilled at representing clients in post-judgment and intermediate appeals before federal and state courts. Her ability to critically analyze complex issues of law and to structure facts enables Angela to simplify and frame arguments in a compelling and persuasive manner.

Angela’s education and background allows her to better understand not only the appellate process, but the distinctions and differences between effective trial advocacy and effective appellate advocacy. Angela graduated from Cornell Law School with a certified concentration in advocacy. While attending Cornell Law School, she honed her appellate advocacy moot court, achieving finalist status in several competitions and was elevated to the Cornell moot court board. Angela also clerked for a New York State Supreme Court trial judge and served as an editor for the Legal Information Institute where she authored a number of articles analyzing and interpreting the practical effects of U.S. Supreme Court cases.
