Symposium to Discuss Key Intellectual Property Issues in India

Leading intellectual property attorney Mark Peroff, Co-Chair of law firm Hiscock & Barclay LLP's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Area, will be attending the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle's (FICPI) India Symposium in New Delhi, where a number of key intellectual property issues for Indian companies will be discussed. FICPI is world-wide organization of intellectual property attorneys and the symposium will take place from December 9-11.

Recently, Hiscock & Barclay launched trademark services for companies from India, an effort which is being led by Mr. Peroff, who is one of the leading trademark attorneys in the United States, having filed more than 6,700 trademarks over the course of his career.

With its leading pharmaceutical companies and a rapidly growing high-tech sector, India has emerged as an important country in the world of IP. The FICPI India Symposium will address a wide range of topics affecting IP professionals, including a session on "Generic Pharma v. Research Based Pharma" and "Protection of IT and Software."
