Roy has successfully counseled clients ranging from privately held businesses to major insurance companies for more than 30 years. His practice includes all aspects of insurance litigation, representing carriers and their insureds, and litigating claims involving contracts, real estate, leases, business dissolutions, commercial transactions, and shareholder and partnership disputes. Roy has litigated matters throughout New York State in state and federal courts and in arbitration. He has had extensive training in mediation, including through the rigorous mediation-skills training program at Northwestern University, which he uses to successfully negotiate settlements for the benefits of his clients in complicated and difficult cases.
John P. Langan, Barclay Damon’s managing partner, said, “Roy is a wonderful addition to a well-respected group of litigators who are known for prosecuting and defending some of the most complex civil litigation cases in the country and for the excellent results they obtain for clients. The skills Roy brings, including his extensive and sophisticated use of alternative dispute resolution to help clients avoid expensive and time-consuming litigation, are complemented by the many beneficial relationships he has cultivated and his decades of experience both in court and in keeping clients out of court. We are delighted to welcome Roy to Barclay Damon.”
