Maureen Helmer Chosen to Deliver Closing Keynote Address at Renewable Energy Conference
July 3, 2018––Maureen Helmer, Regulatory Practice Area co-chair and a partner at Barclay Damon, was selected to deliver the closing keynote address at the 2018 Renewable Energy Conference: A Leadership Forum on Energy Policy on June 27 at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Helmer’s presentation was “Putting the Energy Landscape in Perspective.”
The conference was sponsored by the Business Council of New York State, the Hudson Renewable Energy Institute, and the Marist College School of Management.
Helmer’s accomplishments include serving as former NYS Public Service Commission chair and president and founding board member of NYS Women in Communications and Energy. In May, she was named as a “2018 Change Maker” by the Center for Women in Government & Civil Society, which is part of SUNY Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy.
