Mark Smith Joins Hiscock & Barclay as Associate in Buffalo
Buffalo, New York – June 17, 2014 – Mark C. Smith has joined Hiscock & Barclay, LLP as an Associate in the Buffalo office.
Smith joined from Harter Secrest & Emery, LLP where he was an Associate in the firm’s corporate practice, specializing in mergers & acquisitions and financial transactions. Prior to that, Smith practiced law in New York City as an Associate with DLA Piper (US) LLP in that firm’s financial restructuring group.
Smith will be a part of the Corporate Practice Area at Hiscock & Barclay. He is admitted to practice in New York State; U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York; and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
A graduate of Alfred University and the University at Buffalo Law School, Smith is a member of the Rochester Black Bar Association, Turn Around Management Association of Upstate New York and a graduate of the United Way’s leadership development program (AALDP).
