John S. Zollo Joins Barclay Damon, LLP
SYRACUSE, NY – October 19, 2015 – John S. Zollo has joined Barclay Damon, LLP as Counsel in the firm’s Syracuse Office.
Zollo will join the Labor & Employment Practice Area with a focus on employee benefits law, including qualified plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, welfare plans, DOL investigations and DOL and IRS correction programs. A significant portion of his practice will be devoted to employee stock ownership plans including ESOP transactions, compliance and fiduciary counseling.
Zollo has worked with benefit plans in multiple capacities. He has served as an administrative committee member for 401(k) and profit sharing plans, including a plan with over 4,000 participants and $170MM in plan assets. John has also served as the Trustee of ESOPs in the construction and manufacturing industries.
Originally from Syracuse, New York, John graduated from the UC Davis School of Law in 2007 where he was an editor of the UC Davis Law Review and received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Pension Law.
