Hiscock & Barclay’s Rossi is appointed to National Society of Dental Practitioners Board
Hiscock & Barclay, LLP Attorney Margaret Surowka Rossi has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Society of Dental Practitioners. The Society provides specialty services to its 22,000 members in 50 states who are dedicated to education in the field of dental law and risk management.
Rossi, a Cambridge, NY resident, provides advice and representation to individual health care providers in all aspects of their practice including licensure, disciplinary and ethics proceedings, and practice transitions. She also provides counsel to healthcare providers with respect to Medicaid, Medicare and other governmental investigations and audits as well as on employment and contracts matters. As former in-house counsel to the 14,000 member New York State Dental Association, Rossi counseled members regarding legal and ethical compliance, proposed legislation and regulations, developed a HIPAA guide for members, developed risk management seminars for members, and analyzed and counseled members on all healthcare related matters. Rossi has handled lobbying issues and audits and advises on compliance with New York State and City Lobbying Laws. Rossi is the sole developer and presenter for a New York State mandatory dental jurisprudence and ethics course.
