Hiscock & Barclay Attorneys and Staff to Participate in a Community Day at Foodlink
Rochester, New York – November 24, 2014 – Hiscock & Barclay, LLP attorneys and staff members will participate in a Community Day at Foodlink in Rochester on Friday, December 5 from 12:00-4:00 p.m.
Foodlink provides food to a network of human service agencies throughout Western New York, serving meals via a commercial kitchen and offers more than 30 food-related programs for Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates Counties. In 2014, Foodlink distributed more than 18 million pounds of food, including 3.6 million pounds of produce, offered more than 200 nutrition education courses, and created new access points for healthy foods in underserved communities.
Hiscock & Barclay volunteers will serve lunch, organize food donations to check for quality, categorize, weigh and package donations and prepare them for shipping, and package meals for children to take home.
Community Day is part of Hiscock & Barclay’s Diversity & Inclusion initiative that encourages attorneys and staff throughout the firm to volunteer during work hours to assist a variety of local agencies throughout the year.
