Hiscock & Barclay Attorney Addresses State Conference of Bar Leaders at Annual Workshop
Hiscock & Barclay, LLP Partner Linda J. Clark welcomed Bar Leaders from across New York to the State Conference of Bar Leaders Workshop on April 24, 2009 at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Clark, Chair of the New York State Conference of Bar Leaders, addressed conference participants who gathered to learn tips on how to make the most of their year as president of the local bar association.
Clark is the Immediate Past-President of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association. At Hiscock & Barclay, she concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, toxic tort and defense and health care litigation. She represents a broad array of individuals, businesses and defense clients in civil matters pending in state, federal and commercial claims courts throughout New York. Clark’s defense practice is focused upon the representation of specialty insurers and self-insured concerns in cases ranging from the defense of claims of catastrophic injury brought pursuant to New York’s strict liability labor laws, to the defense of thousands of mass-tort asbestos claims pending in the eastern and central regions of New York State. She has extensive experience in commercial litigation matters, many of which involve complex contract claims for millions of dollars. Other areas of litigation in which Clark has significant experience include securities claims, labor law cases, and health care-related contract claims and appeals.
