Best Lawyers in America Selects 24 from Hiscock & Barclay

Syracuse, New York – August 18, 2014 – Twenty-four attorneys from Hiscock & Barclay, LLP were selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2015.

Four lawyers in the Albany office were named, including Linda J. Clark, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants; Yvonne E. Hennessey, Litigation – Environmental; Edward J. Trombly, Real Estate Law; and Melissa M. Zambri, Health Care Law.

Six lawyers in the Buffalo office were named, including Vincent P. Hauber, Litigation – Real Estate and Real Estate Law; Robert P. Heary, Employment Law – Management; Dennis R. McCoy, Personal Injury and Product Liability – Defendants; Mark R. McNamara, Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law; Laurence B. Oppenheimer, Employment Law – Management; and Catherine T. Wettlaufer, Trusts and Estates.

Five lawyers in the Rochester office were named, including Thomas B. Cronmiller, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants; James S. Grossman, Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law; Anthony J. Piazza, Insurance Law; Robert M. Shaddock, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants; and Thomas F. Walsh, Environmental Law and Litigation- Environmental.

Eight lawyers in the Syracuse office were named, including James J. Canfield, Corporate Law; Andrew J. Leja, Environmental Law; Kevin R. McAuliffe, Project Finance Law; Douglas J. Nash, Commercial Litigation; Judith M. Sayles, Product Liability Litigation – Defense; Michael J. Sciotti, Employment Law Individuals and Management, Labor Law Management, and Litigation – Labor and Employment; John P. Sindoni, Real Estate Law; Gerald F. Stack, Tax Law.

Stephen H. Oleskey, resident in the firm's Boston office, was named for Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law.

In addition to being included on the Best Lawyers list, four attorneys were recognized as "Lawyer of the Year." Canfield was named Best Lawyers' 2015 Syracuse Corporate Law "Lawyer of the Year;" Sciotti was named Best Lawyers' 2015 Syracuse Employment Law-Individuals "Lawyer of the Year;" Oleskey was named Best Lawyers' 2015 Boston Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law "Lawyer of the Year;" and Hauber was named Best Lawyers' 2015 Buffalo Litigation – Real Estate "Lawyer of the Year." Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is bestowed this honor as the "Lawyer of the Year."
