Barclay Damon Instrumental in $27,000,000 sale of Oil and Gas Interests
In December 2011, Barclay Damon represented Norse Energy Corp in the sale of approximately $27 million of oil and gas property interests in Central New York. This transaction involved the sale of thousands of acres of various oil and gas related property interests including fee interests, leasehold interests, rights of way, easements, mineral interests, and overriding worldly interests. This acreage included multiple gas formations, including Marcellus and Utica shale. Because Norse Energy Corp continues to own substantial oil and gas related properties in Central New York, the transaction also involved agreements regarding areas of mutual interest, reciprocal drilling rights, reciprocal pipeline and gathering system use, and reciprocal rights of way.
